  • Vitamin C in plasma
  • Q10 and ubiquinols

Vitamins A, D, E and K belong to the fat soluble vitamins. These vitamins are involved in several biochemical processes in the body. Also the water soluble vitamin C is involved in a number of enzymatic and collagen synthesis reactions. The analysis of vitamins is not limited to food and cosmetics but also in bodily fluids to discover diseases in an early stage.

The ALEXYS Vitamin Analyzers have been optimized to meet the requirements for best sensitivity in HPLC with EC detection. Regardless of the sample matrix the ALEXYS offers a convenient and reliable way for routine analysis. Antec's system solutions include all necessary parts and chemicals to make your analysis work.

System configuration

For the analysis of vitamins we selected the VT03 electrochemical cell. This cell has an excellent reproducibility and the best possible detection sensitivity. The ALEXYS system comprises the following parts:

  • AS 110 autosampler, cool
  • LC 110S HPLC pump
  • DECADE II electrochemical detector, SCC
  • VT03 cell with 3 mm ID, HyREF
  • OR 110 organiser rack
  • LC connection kit
  • USB connection kit, 3 port
  • Clarity data acquisition software

Vitamin K requires an additional Reactor cell with a DECADE DCC for pre-reduction of the quinone moiety. For more details see our product catalogue.
