Fully Programmable

With more than 20 years of experience in Electrochemistry (EC), Antec introduces a new, dedicated Potentiostat for on-line EC/LC/MS. The ROXY Potentiostat generates metabolites of drugs or xenobiotics, similar to those generated during in vivo metabolic processes, in a significantly shorter time span (seconds vs. days or weeks) without any interfering components (no isolation steps required). The ROXY Potentiostat is based on state-of-the-art electronics with a large voltage range of ± 4.9 V, and a push button electrode regeneration program. Operational parameters and external equipment can be controlled through programmable timed events. Consequently, the generation of specific oxidation products, e.g., metabolites, cleavage products, etc., and supreme control of any conceivable Redox reaction is assured.

Two in One!

The standard ROXY Potentiostat is supplied with 1 ReactorCell, and has the capability of controlling 2 cells independently. This is ideal for simultaneous use of different working electrodes or potentials (parallel mode) or multiple stage oxidation/reduction of target compounds (serial mode). The ROXY Potentiostat can be field upgraded to control up to a maximum of 4 ReactorCells, and comes fully equipped with a high precision oven for optimal conversion kinetics and reproducibility (ambient up to 45◦C).

Thin-Layer ReactorCell™

The proprietary [1] design of the thin-layer ReactorCell allows for easy and quick exchange of various types of working electrodes within minutes. Antec offers a wide range of working electrodes such as Pt, Au, MD (Magic Diamond TM), and GC (glassy carbon). All four working electrodes are shipped with every ROXY Potentiostat providing you with everything you need to get started.

The special geometry of the thin-layer ReactorCell assures virtually zero sample adsorption (zero carry-over), essential for processing different samples. Different spacer thicknesses are available, making the cell ideally suited for µ-preparative work, i.e. high yield conversion of target compound.

Stand Alone or On-Line with MS

The Potentiostat can be used as a stand-alone module when desiring high yield, µ-preparative applications, e.g., synthesis of metabolites for further characterization by NMR, etc.

In on-line mode with MS, the Potentiostat can be easily controlled by almost any MS via contact closure and the supplied Dialogue software, making it the ideal tool for oxidative metabolism studies by EC/MS.
