Replacement of piston seals

Replacement of LC 100 pump seals has been described in the user manual 182_0010 (standard pump head) and preventive maintenance guide 182_0026 (standard and micro head). In addition, this tutorial contains QuickTime movies that show the procedure in more detail. Before using this material read the instructions and warnings in the user manual.

• Step 1: remove the pump head, put marks on the piston guide tubes, and remove the piston guide tubes from the head. Take the O-ring, piston flushing tube, and sapphire ring out of the pump head.
• Step 2: If stuck, take out the saphire ring with a pipette tip, then remove the old seal.
• Step 3: Open the piston tube and remove the washing seal
• Step 4: Install a new seal and push the new seal in place
• Step 5: Assemble the piston heads and place the pistons in the pump head
